Just remember, every time a Christmas tree or decoration is put up before Thanksgiving, an elf dies. Only you can prevent elf deaths...

I'll be killing three elves then as I have three trees. Thanksgiving is so late this year! If we don't put up our trees now, we won't get to enjoy them as long as previous years.

Also, tis the season for extreme camel toe and UGG boots. That kills off what...5 elves per offense?

No Moo, it just means you kill off eh-lves.

@ Aubrie uggs kill unicorns, therefore it should be not only legal, but ethically okay to ninja taze them at will.

Put up new decorations? That assumes that we took down the ones from last year!!!!

Wait... what's wrong with Uggs?

Do Jews mitigate the Elf killing by not putting up any trees or decorations?

Does observing a holiday free week between Thanksgiving and Christmas revive a few elves? Only way I can survive the season and enjoy each.

My son will not allow me to put up or take down the Christmas lights outside (probably a wise choice since I tripped going out to my truck the other day, fell and cracked 2 ribs! ). He never took them down after Christmas last year, so all year, i've just been calling them "other" lights.

First, they were New Year's lights, 18th birthday party lights for my son, graduation party lights for the same child, 16th birthday lights for DD, 4th of July lights, you get the idea.

Tune out the noise of what others tell you about who you are and work it out for yourself...

since you've found a way to justify your lights LadyQ...you're probably just going to be sentenced to something a bit less than a special place in hell... like a reallly itchy sweater or popcorn stuck in your teeth or something .

Also remember dear friends that Canadian Thanksgiving was in October, so no elves will be harmed. Go forth and and decorate my friends, you are spared by a Canadian technicality.

Go softly my sweet friend. You will always be a part of who I am.

There was a lady at church, promoting fostering children, who mentioned she has 5 Christmas trees up. Right now. Since November 1.

I saw a couple of houses in our neighbourhood already decked out.

My kids were shocked.

They said, "don't they know you can't turn on your lights until Dec. 1?"

That's my rule.

Sometimes we put them up in warmer weather but they don't go on until Dec. 1.

I think you can't put up your tree until after Remembrance Day. After the 11th though, our "Winter" dishes came out, and the tree came up shortly thereafter. I am in Canada, so apparently I'm killing all those pesky eh-lves.

The tree goes up this Sunday Dec. 1.

The lights will go up if the temps rise.

It's really windy here too. I may have to break out the fingerless gloves to do the lights.

I just love all the lights out at this time of year.
