I just did my first EMDR session (last three were prep work.. and of course I did it a bunch about seven years ago, which pulled me out of my chronic and severe depression). I feel good about it. The key thing about EMDR is that it stirs up your unconscious and unsticks things that are stuck--often things that are the result of traumas, or deeply embedded assumptions/feelings about yourself.

I would highly recommend it, based on how well it worked for me last time and on my feelings about it this time.

Off topic: I love that I can't capitalize EMDR in my subject.

EMDR changed my life. After a few months I noticed that I completely stopped ruminating. I have a lifelong history of depression and I have always ruminated. Not having all that chatter in my brain was amazing. Liberating.

12/18/15 found out my now EX boyfriend was trolling CL for underage girls. From the cops. The fun never stops.

I have a plan to do EMDR as well. It's so encouraging to read your story.
