I'm not quite ready to start OLD - the divorce won't be complete until my three-day trial in January. But two close friends just met their SOs on Tinder. I had never heard of it before.
It seems too public to me since it uses your FB picture and real name.
Has anyone used it? I'm just so curious. I really don't think I have the guts. But my two friends found decent guys on there, and apparently they were able to determine right away that they had mutual friends in real life, so they felt safer than they would going on Match or other more anonymous sites.
I'm beginning to realize that you have to be pretty brave to do OLD!

I have it on my phone actually but, have not used it as it is much to soon after D and I am still a mess.
From an article I read about it, the article mentioned that women like it better than other OLD options since it is tied to some sort of "real" identity with the facebook login.

Don't make anyone a priority when you are only an option.

People I know use it as a hookup site. Not for serious dating from what I hear. Sort of like Grindr for straight people.

Thanks Hopeless. That's what I was sort of afraid of.
I think that my friends were successful there because they would be successful anywhere. They're just really accomplished, outgoing and determined to find SOs.
It's like a second job for both of them.
