The other day while I was doing a little cleaning, I asked my SO to grab the bag of trash out of the bathroom trash can. Later on I noticed that he'd gone ahead and placed a fresh trash bag in the bathroom can without being asked, and I thanked him for it. He looked at me like I was insane. Because who takes out the trash and doesn't put a new bag in the can. Who indeed?

I didn't say it to SO, but I can tell you that's the kind thing my XH did all the time. Mostly to exasperate me so that I would not ask him to help with chores.

My SO gladly helps with housework. He will even clean things without being asked. In fact he sometimes even cleans up after me. So amazing.

In about a year, can you tell him to send his brother over!
I'm just not there yet, but don't make the mistake that I'm down for the count just yet.
STBXWH would take out the trash without being asked, and most times remembered to put a trash bag in, but oh did I have to pay for it in his PA way later on.

DCK - after all the crap you have been through the last few years, it really warms my heart to see you enjoying not just a normal relationship, but a good one!

Very happy for you!

We are around still!!!!!

For two years, I got up early in the morning with XSO even though I did not have to. While XSO was taking a shower, I cooked her favorite breakfast every time she stayed with me at my place. It was my pleasure to cook and make her happy because I love her (still).

When she called me in the afternoon to let me know that she was coming to my place to sleep over, I would leave work early to have dinner ready since she was in a 9-5 office hours.

One of many things I did for her with my heart no my body.

That was my way to show her my love on top on the words.

Love is an everyday action for your partner.

Also, I did a good deed for a girl in a hike and she wrote me a note. she injured her foot and I help her descending from the mountain.

“Just wanted to say thank you again for all your help on Sunday. You made a very difficult and painful situation bearable.

When they show bad things happening on tv news and evil strikes, I try to remember to look at all the people running to help. You are one of those good people.

Your sweet spirit and gentle kindness make the world a better place.

I hope you will surround yourself with loving, joyful people who treat you with respect and honor.

You are in my prayers and forever in my gratitude.

(name delete to keep her privacy).

So good men do exist!!!

my two cents.

Hurts, he also bought me a programmable coffee maker and sets it up every night before leaving for work (he works nights). So I wake up to fresh coffee every morning.

I am getting very spoiled.

lieshurt posted 11/21/2013 08:09 AM

DCK, could you clone him and give us all a copy?

I'm very happy for you. You deserve a good man in your life.

So happy for you!! I had to dump the trash, put in the liner, but not before spraying the can with Lysol!!!!

Dawn58 posted 11/21/2013 09:37 AM

He was above dumping the trash.

Isn't it nice to have someone who does things for no reason other than that is what a good partner does.

my friends are in shock because BF came over on his day off while I was at work and did all the dishes and cleaned my kitchen because I was too tired the night before to do it. It made my day

BelleStar posted 11/21/2013 12:01 PM

In the 10 years that I stayed with XWBF, he never and I mean NEVER took out the trash and he NEVER put the toilet paper on the roller...not once did he do anything but complain....

phillygirl posted 11/21/2013 13:45 PM

If he is up for cloning himself like suggested above, I'm in for one!

idkam posted 11/21/2013 14:03 PM

I'm really happy for you DCK..... I know i shouldnt complain but when my SO takes out the trash he almost always forget to that we have trash cans in other places like the other bath room and our bd room... So when i empty the trash in those rooms the big trash can is almost full again....

My SO does all of the cooking and he grocery shops every sunday.... If i ask for blueberry pancakes for breakfast he makes it for me with no problem...

I love being spoiled and you will too DCK..
