...The fact that I've been willing and trying to R should really be gift enough, I know...

But I'm really struggling with an appropriate gift idea for him. We are trying to R, but it's been a series of ups and downs (unusual, I know ).

Anyone have any good suggestions? Especially any fWH's... Is there anything you might have liked receiving during the difficult R process?

I hear zipper locks are in fashion.
It helps keep your pant zipper from accidentally sliding down at inopportune moments (such as during a staff meeting or presentation).

What are his interests? Does he read, like sports, go fishing?

Maybe get him a nice card, take him to dinner and a movie?

Love that!

I am trying to be nice though...

He tends to buy himself whatever he wants/needs, so it makes it very tough. We are going out to eat as a family (we've had a very rough go of it as a family with all this), so that's a good thing.

Reading? I've already given him so very many books and articles to read.... I don't think he views them as a gift!

His newest passion is adventure racing... He enjoys golf and hunting. He's a thrill-seeker. I think he'd enjoy a book of "love coupons" if I want to go that direction, but I was kind of thinking something more sentimental than racy, IYKWIM?

I did buy him some new jeans and pants because his killer workouts have trimmed his waist even more... Just seems kind of boring... Was hoping someone here is more creative than I! (OK, it'd be creative to add some zipper locks to those pants, I know.... )

I'm so glad you took that in the spirit in which it was meant!

As to real ideas (hehehe), what about tickets to a race or a concert that the TWO of you could enjoy together?
