Grandbaby #4 is on the way. This time it's Xena....about 11 weeks and heard the heartbeat for the first time today.

Here's the thing, we didn't know if she would be able to have kids.

She was told that it would be difficult, if it were possible at all, to conceive and carry past a few weeks.

Some of you may remember that she had a miscarriage a couple of years ago. Well she's had other signs and symptoms of "things" just weren't right and after a lot of tests they found she has severe PCOS and her hormones are ridiculously out of whack.

Well she did conceive and today they heard a strong heartbeat!

So, prayers for a healthy pregnancy and a new Prince or Princess for the posse. If it's a Prince, what should rename the tribe? Princess Posse won't work any more. I'm thinking The Royal Court?

I. too have PCOS and I have a wonderful 14 year old girl. I took a test the month I got pregnant, but it was negative. FOUR months later, I went to the doctor with various complaints- among them was extreme breast tenderness- and I found out that day.

For some reason, I was sick as a dog from the time I found out forward, but I felt that meant I had a healthy child, so I was fine with it.

Congratulations and sending thoughts and prayers.

Since the doctors made her prospects sound so bleak, she and her SO decided their dogs would be their children. They figured, at some point, when they got M they might see a fertility doc and give it a try.

They've been on pins and needles worrying about getting through the first trimester, but she's been sick, we also took that as a sign that things were going well.

It's funny though, my tough Army girl can't handle sickness of any kind. This could be the longest pregnancy in history.
