I signed on to SI this morning, bc I was having a pity party all by myself, and wanted to vent.

But I started reading the posts from you all awesome people, and I'm over it!

You are all truly inspiring, thank you!

Yes this day it's still going to suck for some of us. But one very important part in our healing is ACCEPTANCE. Acceptance that this is our New Normal, and we need to make it our New Happy.

Today, if I find myself down for a moment - I'll try to think of X-MAS eve and X-MAS morning, when I'll have both my kids with me, with my apartment filled with all my family and close friends!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
(think new normal, new happy)

You know what made me happy those first holidays after D-day? That I wasn't sitting there celebrating a fake happy holiday, while my WS was having an affair. There was nobody to cheat on me and this holiday is actually genuine, unlike the dog and pony show I had been unknowingly living.

That's gold!
