EEEEEEK! So excited!!!!
I ordered my special rockstar acoustic guitar for my 60th year xmas present.
Just waiting for the bank transfer to go through and it will be winging its way here from France!
Sneek peek of the back and the detailing around the soundhole. Will post some pics of the whole thing when I finally get my hands on the little darling.

Oddly enough I had a really crazy dream about hanging with Sting last night at some schmancy resort.

I swear I see a bird head in the curly maple on the bag (just guessing that is what it is...)
Sweet lookin' axe.

Gorgeous!!!! I'm a bit jealous, but since I haven't played anything but kids' songs for years I can't even justify that jealousy!
Enjoy, enjoy!!!!

Curly maple it is. Same stuff they make violins out of, so I'm pretty sure it's going to have a lot of presence.

It's a Japanese luthier named K. Yairi.
It will be the baby brother for the other members of my custom made family...

They also make it in black, cowboy style... reminds me of Roy Rogers.
Don't know if this one is still in production. Nice looking, but I'm guessing the maple will sound sweeter.

They're ALL beautiful!
A lot of guitars "live" here, but I can't play a lick (pun intended)
. I can string them, clean them, and tune them, but that's it.
We have one rare, vintage guitar, but if you ask me who made it, I'll give you the name of a well-known guitar company and the year, not the name of a luthier.
Enjoy your new guitar!!
