It really was not made very clear to me last month that when my D is finally signed off, it will be RETRO-ACTIVE TO A CERTAIN DATE (which has already passed).

Any one else go through this?

It feels mighty weird!

Weird...but GREAT!

Yes that's true. I was in court in October where a judge granted me my divorce. Then the divorce decree was written.

Four months later we had to stand in front of the judge again regarding the wording of the decre to finally get it signed. My divorce is considered to be in October.

It must depend on the state.

But congrats on already being divorced! I know it's not what you would have ever wanted, but I also know that a fabulous future awaits you!

By the time I was notified by the state, I was already D for almost 2 months. In NY its when the judge puts his signature on the petition.
