Nothing exciting for me.

No Teslet...so going to clean, grocery shop, work on my coursework for my online class...and probably catch up on some tv. Yep. Sounds good to me.

Pretty low-key.

Hanging out at home tonight -- just finishing dinner and about to get caught up on some more "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" while I furiously knit my friend a scarf (hopefully) to be done before Christmas.

Tomorrow I'm running with a friend, then a basketball game with my dad, a friend, and her husband. Then probably nothing, though another friend wants me to hold 9:30 pm for her so we can go out. I told her I am too old and it's too cold for that!

Sunday I'm running with another friend and then hopefully picking up my bicycle so I can commute on Monday. When I left my driveway to ride to work this morning, I realized the brakes weren't working! Not sure if it's the cold (it was about 10 degrees F here) but figured a tune-up was in order.

And it will go by way too quickly, and then Monday morning comes again :(

The BIG thing is the SEC Championship. Auburn is playing and I have hope they will win (but I am not counting on it -- Mizzou wants to win too!!) I will also be watching the Ohio State/Mich State game and cheering for Mich St. (Sorry Buckeye fans, gotta cheer for what is best for MY team) If they lose then the SEC (hopefully AU) will get to play FSU for the national championship!!!!

Oh, and I have to clean and do some yardwork too ... booo

I didn't do much tonight. I'm currently shopping online. Trying to find stuff to buy with my Kohl's cash. SO will be home in about an hour... I better get buying!

Tomorrow, I've got to come up with Sunday school lesson plans. Then, we're going to church. After that, I'm gonna try out Just Dance with my bff while SO finds something to do with her hubby.

Sunday, we've got Sunday school to teach. Then, my parents are coming over to pick up the kids and taking them to a party. I'll drop them back off at XH's after they come home.

It's a pretty low-key weekend. I better enjoy it while I can! I have 3 parties next weekend.

Failure is success if we learn from it.

I only worked a 1/2 day tonight, so I got to go out for a few beers and listen to some music.

Tomorrow is Zumba and yoga, then...nothing!

Sunday is Victorian Day in downtown Troy; I'm going to try...I hate crowds when I'm alone, so I don't know if I can do it. We'll see...

As its my off week with my son I was supposed to have my friends up to the mountain house for a guy weekend. But the weather messed with those plans. So I'm stuck with a fridge full of beer and snacks, finger foods etc. I guess me and the dog will watch some football and eat like slobs.

Today--local Santa Claus parade, picking up skates for GD#1, picking up drycleaning, laundry, prepping a couple of types of cookies to the pre-baking stage, and a Christmas party tonight.

Tomorrow--more cookies, some on-line promo for my art show, a long walk if the weather's acceptable, maybe a movie.

The past few months my weekends have felt like another line of work! This weekend is practically a holiday.

Saw John Mayer on Friday night. He was ah-mazing. Phil Phillips opened for him-- also amazing. We sat next to his lead guitarists aunt, super sweet southern lady. She found out I am newly single and of course had to bring him over to introduce us! LOL! Great time.

Had a massage with my best friend on Saturday, followed by shopping. Went to see Catching Fire last night, loved it!

We may not be able to do anything today due to weather (27 degrees here yesterday- last week it was 86!!!) I don't do cold, so this pretty much sucks. Ha!

Have papers to grade and laundry. Going out to lunch heifer heading to the airport to send my best friend back home tonight.

Great weekend so far!!

Getting on here on the downward side of the weekend, but here goes.....

Had a "family meeting" with my daughter, SIL, and grandson yesterday about financial shit and the family trust (which I administer since my mom is now officially incompetent and living with me).

My daughter & I weren't crossways, but SIL and grandson thought I was doing......hell, I don't know what. Anyway, we met on neutral ground (my parent's house) and I showed them the legal documents that showed my authority to administer the trust as I see fit to take care of my mom and the property. It was a kind of tense thing, but we got shit hammered out and I think they realize what I'm dealing with now.

In the meantime......when we walked into my parent's house, it became apparent that the furnace wasn't working - we could see our breath.

Oh shit!

So.....space heaters to keep the water lines from freezing, and I've got to get the furnace people in next week. We haven't had a day above freezing here in over a week. I had left the faucets dripping (thank God) or the water lines would have frozen and broke.

So....today I'm watching football, keeping the woodstove stoked, and having a toddy. The Bear had to work all weekend (crap), but we're gonna cut up the doe he bagged last week on his days off. Fresh venison in the 'hood!

Oh, and it snowed. And froze. And snowed....I'm officially sick of winter already. Blech!

Sometimes the hardest part of finally seeing through someone is accepting what you see...

God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to
change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me.
