Two words you never thought you'd see together....

So DD3 has to use a nebulizer for budesonide when her asthma cough flares up. I was just on a BBB accredited website for nebulizers, and they had a battery operated, SILENT, hand held nebulizer. I watched the demo and I was amazed. It has 363 positive reviews. I can't believe that this technology is available and I've been using a plug-in, hoses and cords, loud as a chainsaw monster for a year.

So has anyone used one of these? Is it too good to be true or did I just find the holy grail of DD's asthma treatment???

I've never heard of it, but I completely relate with regard to the bulky, loud, pain-in-the-arse nebulizer that my son had to use for the first 5 years or so of his life.
He was/is extremely sensitive to loud noises, so you can only guess how well the treatments went over...

She HATES loud noises. We have to blast her favorite movie usually. Actually... now she plays her Nintendo 2DS and that distracts her, but she still cringes at the noise. Sheesh.

Jrazz,

I saw that topic title and before I even looked I knew it was you.

(Not to make light of the asthma situation, I just thought that was funny )

How expensive is this thing? 363 positive reviews to me would be worth trying it, unless it's ridiculously expensive.

I'll talk to Crazz. It's $149 which doesn't break the bank, but I've been known to blow a lot of money on stuff for DD healthwise, and end up not using half of it because the stock is redundant. This feels worth it...

If it is something she has to use often and would be quieter (ie. easier on her nerves), I say go for it.
(Note: This is from the perspective of a Mom who had a little one go into terrors when he had to have his treatments)
