Was on the phone with STBX over the weekend and at one point he says " I know you probably don't want to hear this, but I miss you."

And I felt bad. Not for leaving; his cheating was a deal breaker for me and I finally put my well being first after almost two years of trying to R.

No. I felt bad because I couldn't say it back and even come close to meaning it.

Almost 10 years together, and he's been my best friend that whole time. And I truly do not miss him.

How sad.

When I left our house for the last time I told her I would miss her. mad I meant it. She said she has already missed me. I bit my tongue. What I wanted to say is not fit for print. Not even on SI. (((Phoenix)))

(((sunsets)))...you've been on my mind. How are you doing?

I could honestly say that I miss who he was, who I believed he was. I have no feelings for him now, how could I possibility miss someone who has said and done the things that he has?

I totally get you Phoenix. You should have said, "I know you do. I am awesome and you missed out"

Actually what I wanted to say was "too bad you didn't miss me this much back when you were traveling for work, maybe it'd have kept you from shopping for my replacement"

but instead I took the high roads and answered with silence..

Thank you Phoenix. I'm ok. I had a great week. Like many of the wonderful people here (and because of their guidance) I've taken this circumstance and turned it into a means for growth and change. I know now that I'll be better than ever in time. The changes I've made are already so profound and positive it amazes me every day. I'm at peace most of the time. I can't wait to go home and embrace the joy and happiness of my new life. Continued healing and blessings to you PhoenixRising88.

I'm at peace most of the time.

This is me too. Isn't it wonderful? To me personally, it's a marker - I've been through the worst of the storm, I'm coming out the other side. My boat may need a new coat of paint but by God I made it through! And I joyously lean forward to embrace the awesome future that I know is headed straight for me!
