Last night my dd turned her jammies inside out AND wore them backwards then put a spoon under her pillow in hopes of a snow day. She thinks it works. Mother nature is stronger than any superstition.

She got her snow day. The yuck stuff just started.

I hate snow---and I'm throwing all my spoons away just in case she is right

My kids were praying for one too, they were 1-2" band here, it evidently got lost. They were soooo sad this morning. LOL...
I have heard the PJ and spoon thing before, but had never had my kids try it. Shhhhh don't tell them please.

I might try this Christmas Eve if it looks as if we are having ANOTHER green Christmas here.

I never heard of these superstitions when I was working...apparently they worked in South Jersey last night!

Scardycat, we are in westcentral jersey. Its dd7's fault, lol

Whg, she is banned from touching my spoons.

Lynn...I will gladly give you the snow its pretty but non-functional unless youre on a sled, ski's or snow board.

Tush...huh? What? I know nothin (thats me playing dumb...and no comments from the peanut gallery, please. I am properly abused at work, lol).

Kids here flush ice cubes down the toilet. Strange for sure, but sometimes it works.

sullymeishadomi posted 12/11/2013 17:42 PM cubes down the toilet. How would I explain the big ice ball in the pipes?
