She knows I worry, especially about her driving. I had a text message from her when I went on my break at work. It says, "It's snowing like crazy here (she's at school) but don't worry, I'm home for the rest of the day. Please be careful and text me when you get home!"
I love that she anticipates my worry and texts me to help me not worry!
I also love that she tells me to let her know when I get home.
Awesome kid.
DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

Awesome kid.
Of course she is. Look who her parents are.
No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

It is very nice. You did a good job of raising her.
I have three, scattered all over, who "mother" me when I'm around them, and sometimes when I'm not, like when they know I'm traveling. I have to check in frequently an let them know I'm safe. I also have to report to a niece, a SIL and brother, and a few friends. Takes me almost as long to do that as it does to get where I'm going!

Love it!
I have to say it is always touching and surprising when our young adults do this type of thing. Makes you go all gooshy, huh?

Yes, and I'm already a blubbery mess because I got her senior picture proofs in the mail yesterday.

Don't feel bad. I cried too when I saw my kids senior proofs!
Its easy to see your baby on a day to day basis, but those pics....man oh man. That's a bit of a slap of reality, huh?

Yes, and all that they stand for! She's my baby, and she's graduating college. I can't wrap my brain around it yet. I am so proud of her, though. She's grown so much these past four years.

My DD is a junior at college, so not quite there yet. But yes, I love seeing the young woman she's become.
DS is a darling young man too (senior in high school).
Hats off to raising great kids!
