She knows I worry, especially about her driving. I had a text message from her when I went on my break at work. It says, "It's snowing like crazy here (she's at school) but don't worry, I'm home for the rest of the day. Please be careful and text me when you get home!"

I love that she anticipates my worry and texts me to help me not worry!

I also love that she tells me to let her know when I get home.

Awesome kid.

Yes, she is an awesome kid! And you are an awesome mom! You deserve each other.

JanaGreen posted 12/10/2013 14:53 PM

That's sweet!

Awesome kid.

Of course she is. Look who her parents are.

thebighurt posted 12/10/2013 14:59 PM

It is very nice. You did a good job of raising her.

I have three, scattered all over, who "mother" me when I'm around them, and sometimes when I'm not, like when they know I'm traveling. I have to check in frequently an let them know I'm safe. I also have to report to a niece, a SIL and brother, and a few friends. Takes me almost as long to do that as it does to get where I'm going!

Brag all you want, Mama. You have an awesome kid!

Thank you!

Thebighurt, that's really funny (and sweet)!

My hats off to you for raising such a considerate kid.

Love it!
I have to say it is always touching and surprising when our young adults do this type of thing. Makes you go all gooshy, huh?

Yes, and I'm already a blubbery mess because I got her senior picture proofs in the mail yesterday.

GabyBaby posted 12/10/2013 17:59 PM

Don't feel bad. I cried too when I saw my kids senior proofs!
Its easy to see your baby on a day to day basis, but those oh man. That's a bit of a slap of reality, huh?

authenticnow posted 12/10/2013 18:01 PM

Yes, and all that they stand for! She's my baby, and she's graduating college. I can't wrap my brain around it yet. I am so proud of her, though. She's grown so much these past four years.

GabyBaby posted 12/10/2013 18:08 PM

My DD is a junior at college, so not quite there yet. But yes, I love seeing the young woman she's become.
DS is a darling young man too (senior in high school).

Hats off to raising great kids!

You are perfectly within rights to brag! Sounds like she's a great daughter. I have one of those, too. Love her to pieces. I have a wonderful son, too. It's so beautiful to know the lovely people our children become.

She's a keeper.
