Hellllppppp!

I ended up picking the commander of the unit I work with.

The only thing I know about him is that he is really big into Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! He's the one that hooked me up with the info so I can start taking lessons soon!

I NEED suggestions. I have to buy it this weekend and it can't be over $15.

Can you ask around to people that know him well and see what they say?

Go with a food or drink type gift.

* A gift certificate to Starbucks (or other local coffee place) if you have EVER seen him drink coffee. I almost never buy coffee, but I would certainly enjoy myself with "free" coffee from starbucks.

* a bottle of wine if you have any inclination that he might drink wine. Or a bottle of his favorite liquor if you have ever seen him order a drink. Or if you know he is a beer connoisseur, some of the christmas brew that is available only this time of year. Go to a liquor store and ask for help with any of these items.

* A gift certificate to a local place he can go for lunch. Everyone needs to eat lunch.

* Some nice chocolates. Even if he is not a big fan he can share with with his family

* A homemade food item like gingerbread men or christmas cookies. Again, he can share with his family

Good luck!!

I heard that the Duck Dynasty chia pets were hot on the gift list! LOL

How about you get a nice Holiday box from the dollar store and put it in some treats, like chocolates, candy, popcorn etc along with 2 movie tickets/gift card value for 2 tickets.

I did this one yr for secret santa and the person loved it.

Ok, for the peanut gallery, hahah.

And for the sincere suggestions, thanks. I dont know anything about him and he is new to the unit. Sooo, I will go with pulling out a decorative box and baking. Maybe a gift card to the martial arts supply store too!

Again, thanks. I knew my SI family had my back again!
