those that have kept up with me know I am a truck driver so I spend most of my time by myself. I am staying with my sister for the time being and she just had the whole family over for lunch, Mom and Dad, her kids with there tiny tots and the nieces friends. Too many people for me under normal circumstances.

Everyone that was here knows what I am going through although only my sis and her SO really understand it and she actually rushed them out for me. (god, I love her)

Anyway I got really nervous and uptight, my pulse was racing, had a hard time breathing and my palms are still sweating....

This is by no means anywhere normal for me. I am normally the person who loves attention and always try to be the life of the party. Today I just wanted to crawl under the bed curl up and cry..
I guess maybe because this was the first function that I would normally attend with the WW.
I know that my decision to go on to the D is the best thing for me, but that doesn't make it any easier... I really hate this.....

Only your palms sweating? Any other unusual feelings?

I had a total of 3 in my life (all post DD) and for me it involved racing heart beat, breathlessness, that locked feeling in your chest kind of like when you're about to start sobbing hard - it all started with a tingling in my lips.

I was able to curb #4 by stopping in my tracks as soon as I felt my lips tingling and breathing deeply. Stop thinking about whatever it was I was thinking about and putting myself in the moment, THIS moment. Right now.

I haven't had one for over a year now.

I'd go and see your doctor - stress does some awful things to your body.

Anxiety manifests itself in many forms. I have been there - done that. Breathe deeply for a bit. 4 seconds in - hold for 7 seconds - then breathe out for 8 seconds. Count while doing so. Do this for a as long as your body needs you to do so to regain control of your emotions. You will be surprised how much rhythmic breathing helps.

My guess is it was anxiety about the situation you were in. Go see your doctor.
