I just wanted to share something that happened to me today. I had to talk to my FMIL today and at the end of the coversation she said. "I just wanted you to know you are doing a wonderful job raising DS". It brought me to tears.

D-day 06/21/09
Separated....hopefully divorcing soon.

That is definitely a great compliment, my mil has been a great support during our separation.
She knows what XWH was doing is wrong, she asked me to visit her all the time but I always try to stay some distance as one day if XWH brings ow to visit her, I don't think she will say no.
Back in my mind she is still his mom.
M: 10 years both late 40s.

My MIL has no idea her son is a selfish lying, cheating jerk. At the time of the A she was in cancer treatment so I didn't want to burden her, now I just don't have the heart to tell her. She is such a wonderful lady, I have no idea how she spawned such a creature.
My FIL's are the only things I miss about our marriage so I make sure DS gets to see them all the time. It is nice though to get recognized by the other side of the family. It really made my day.
