Schedule cleared for tonight's Doctor Who.

Who else will be watching?

Is it the episode Day of the Doctor or is it a brand new one? If it's brand new I'll have to wait til it's On Demand... so no spoilers!

Sorry - could have been clearer, eh?

The Day of the Doctor (repeat of 50th anniversary special)

Farewell to Matt Smith (new - not an episode, but a tribute)

The Time of the Doctor (new - Christmas special)

Saw The Day of the Doctor but since I don't get BBC on my cable I'll still have to wait until it's On Demand. Fortunately I still have a week or so of vacation left so I should have plenty of time to watch the other two.

We stream through Project Free TV. In fact, I got MrH a Chromecast for Christmas so he could stream on the TV instead of the little laptop screen.

Generally they are up within hours...sometimes even within an hour after an episode airs.

"Being in love" first moved them to promise fidelity: this quieter love enables them to keep the promise. *CS Lewis*

Whovians!!!

I thought the pacing was a bit weird, but I loved it. I am sad to see 11 go.

Just watched it. I liked it. I'm excited for 12 (13? 14? what is he meant to be called now, anyway? And why did they include him in the 50th if 11 wasn't meant to know he existed?) personally. 11's final hour storyline has been stretched about to it's limits. It was a natural time for it to end, I thought. I'm excited to see what Capaldi does with it.

I've sort of gotten into The Doc, based on the last 2 nights of broadcasts. Funny, though...I'm not so interested in the Doc himself. I want to see more of Clara....

(W is aware of the above. She's not worried.)

Sisoon - Have you watched Doctor Who before, or are you a new Whovian? Because I've got recommendations if you're new to the party.

plainsong sort of got into Who a while ago, and I've watched with her - mainly the 50 year anniversary stuff on BBCA a few months ago. Since then, we've watched sporadically on PBS.

The last 2 nights, though, have been very different - first time I was able to get into the characters, and the first time the plots gripped us.

So, yeah, recos would be welcome. Thanks for offering.
