Fuck you, Verizon, for only blocking numbers for 3 months at a time.

I was treated to a "Merry Christmas" text from WxSO... must be time to re-block him.

Definitely not what I wanted to see yesterday.

Why is he still communicating with you after 3 years? Weird.

He refuses to go away - which is weird considering he couldn't get rid of me fast enough after D-Day when he had a pregnant OW.

He would love for us to be "friends" so it makes him look like less of a douchebag. Not gonna happen. That ship sailed long ago.

((((Whalers)))) How frustrating! Can you set a reminder to re-block him 2.9 months from now?

Yes, I just put a reminder in my phone to block him again in 10 weeks. My birthday is almost exactly 3 months from now, so I really would like to avoid the Happy Birthday texts...

I feel like I heard recently about an app that blocks numbers on android. The memory is quite fuzzy, but it might be worth looking into.

Glad you've set up the reminder - would hate to have a downer on your birthday. Three years and hanging onto the idea that you can be friends? Delusional!

The flip side is that without Verizon's usage notifications, I would probably not have caught my husband so quickly when he decided to use his phone to skype-sex with OW. He used up 1/2 our allowed bandwidth and it was only 7 days into the billing cycle. Every person on our family plan got notification that we were over 50% on our allowed usage - sons and I are going WHAT??! Sons have LG flip phones that don't do more than text and talk. My data-compatible phone has needed an upgrade for 2 years so it wasn't my phone burning it up. There was no way for him to spin this. Verizon nailed him.

I agree that Verizon was good for me too, provided me with numbers he called and texted, didn't have to look at the phone he had deleted all incriminating evidence from.

I agree that it would be nice if the block was permanent and you would have to go unblock, but at least you CAN block.

Also, if you have an iPhone, with the new ios update, you can block any number now right on your phone.

Go to that particular contact, scroll down, and click on "block this caller"
