I always joke that we are part of the Great Arctic North...little did I realize that it's kinda true
Weather.com says that my city is one of the top 20 cities, in the US

We're # 1, we're # 1, we're # 1. Just thought I would chant it so maybe I could warm up here.
Good news, forecasting 36* here Sunday. That will be about a 60* temperature change. We will be wearing shorts and tee's and no coats!

Dang! Both my city and home town college made those lists! No wonder I thought Miami was too warm in January!!

I spent the first 30 years of my life in cities on this list...last year I had job offers from two more on the list. Narrow escape!

I live north of all but Anchorage, so … I must be crazy. Yep, that's it.

I don't know if this has changed in last week, but my city was crowned THE snowiest city in the US.
This is not a title I wish to have.

No wonder I thought Miami was too warm in January!!
I felt the same way when I arrived here! Now I'm like real Californians and wear a sweater and jeans in January, in what I once considered balmy summer temperatures.
But I'd take the snow and those freezing temperatures any day over the unbearable heat of too many days in my California summer!
