I am desperate for a job with health ins. Gave up. Tried for anything. Finally get call for entry level part time. Interviewer has the nerve to tell me that the position is already filled. She just wanted to see me because I have the same name as some actress on a TV show. All I could do to just get up and I walked out. U am so tired of doing things the "right" way and getting met with comments like this or hearing them talk as I walk away about my looks. Yes it has been done to me. Feel like making an appointment with a vet to just put me out of my misery like a dog...at least I don't need health insurance for that.

I would contact the head of their HR department and report this. That is TOTAL bullshit! What a scum-sucking bitch!

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.

I'd write a letter to the local paper where her business is about what she did. Seriously. That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard in a long time. How cruel. She deserved to be outted on this.

That was a waste of your time, got your hopes up, and everything. I had that happen, too. Sort of. Called me in for an interview, turned out to be a sales pitch for a franchise. you showed more restraint than I did. I used my last ten spot on the gas to get there, got into a huge fight with my mother about watching my kids, and driving her car. For a sales pitch?? I thought they were going to call the cops I was so mad, I called the girl a C U Next Tuesday, and the guy (the one who called me) a lying ass mother fucker. Then I sat in the Wendy's parking lot next door and cried. I spent my last 10 bucks... And would probably need to start selling blood, or something else to put diapers on my kid.

ETA: hit submit instead of the laughy face...

It was a small veterinary clinic. Right before I went in they told me not to move because of a very aggressive dog that was coming out. Boy did he. The idiot owner did not have a leash. The dog proceeded to chase a cat turning over chairs. At no point did this clinic offer a leash to help owner get the dog to the car. So I feel like sending a thank you for the interview package with a complimentary leash.
