Not sure if this is the right place for this. Can someone tell me how to reply with a quotable portion of someone else's post?

Copy the part of the text you want to post into your text window. Then highlight it and hit the "quote" button.

Tags will be added to the beginning and end of the text you had highlighted.

Thanks for asking and answering, I was wondering the same thing.

"how to quote"

highlight the text you want quoted

"how to quote"
and then click the quote button on the left.

If you did it right the text you want quoted should look like this [qoute]"How to quote"[/qoute] but the words quote in the brackets will be spelled correctly.

I'll try again

After I highlight I'm not seeing a quote button on the left. This is REALLY important to me!

It's to the left of the text box.
It looks like this:

Message: TEXT BOX is over here
bold
italic
quote

For me, I have to highlight what I want quoted. I then copy and paste it in the response box and then I have to highlight it again and click on the "quote" box to the left of the response box, and Viola! it is quoted.

This is my test to see if it works.

Try this again, sorry

You are almost there, DLP50. I think you didn't highlight what you wanted quoted before you clicked on the "quote" box.

DLP50. How did you do it?

WarpSpeed posted 1/18/2014 11:29 AM

Highlight what you want to quote by clicking just to the left of the first word, holding the left click button down and then move your mouse across the text. Release the left click button.

Right click on the highlighted text. Click copy.

Click on the Post Reply to This Topic link at the bottom right of the thread.

A dialogue box pops open.

Right click in the dialogue box and the click paste. That puts what you want in the dialoge box.

As in the first paragraph above, highlight the part you want to quote. Then click the quote button just left of the dialogue box you are typing in.

DLP50. How did you do it?
