My wonderful little Mum passed away last night after being ill with pneumonia for close to two weeks. She had not responded to the antibiotics, the stress on her body (she was 85) caused her to have a heart attack, and they questioned a stroke because she had lost the ability to swallow and speak properly.
She died peacefully with my sister and I by her side. I would not wish her back to suffer, but miss her so much already.
Mum was a wonderful, strong lady who raised the five of us to be good people. We are honouring her with a celebration of her life on Saturday. So many friends considered my parents to be "adopted" Mum & Dad over the years....there was always room for one more at the table, or a listening ear for all of us and our friends.
My Dad passed away over thirteen years ago, and yesterday I felt him come and take Mum with him.
I know they are having a wonderful "catch up" and looking down on all of us telling us to carry on and be strong.
I love you Mum and miss you....rest in peace...
