I rocked the dress! My date is HOT and was the perfect gentleman. After a great supper, he wanted to go somewhere and talk longer, so we found a spot to have a drink. The night ended with him walking me to my car, a hug, and telling me I shouldn't wait for him to initiate contact.

He made it so easy to reenter the dating game. No pressure.

I'm so glad it went well! Congrats!!!

But WTH?

and telling me I shouldn't wait for him to initiate contact.

Hmm, don't fall for this. If he wants to see you again he will do the work. It's horrible to wait and see. But everytime I became the pursuer, it just ended badly. I know this is the 21 st century and feels cavemanish, but it seems some things don't change.

Anyone who said this to me would set off warning bells in my head. You are worth being pursued.
