Has anyone been able to get transcripts of their spouse's text messages?

I feel the need to read what my husband sent to his friends and/or any girls while we were living apart, and asked Verizon about it today.

I was told I'd need a court order?! Even though his number is under MY account, as in, I am the primary person, his name is not even on our bill. I was pretty surprised.

How have other people with Verizon gone about getting transcripts?

With any courier it's impossible without a court order. Even though it is your account you have to get a court order to get transcripts. I have sprint and I wanted to do the same thing, all they gave me was a disk full of numbers she contacted.

I had to get a document and then get it notarized.

In all honesty, it just makes it more nerve racking after it comes. If you want the transcripts, get the court order...which means you have to get a lawyer...

If you're not getting a divorce it's not even worth it. However, there's some threads on here where you can undelete past messages depending on the phone.

You can always take the phone, since it is yours and in your name and have it forensic'd. That is not illegal so long as it is your phone and in your name.
Possession is 9/10ths of the law, right????
Take his phone and let him think he lost it.

Thanks all. It's not that big of a deal, I was hoping I could just ask him to give them permission to release the transcripts to me, but they said no.

I just wanted to see it for my piece of mind.

There is no piece in reading them...

My Opinion. I saw my FIL phone where my WW texted him and she said she loved the OM. I was devastated.

Do yourself a favor, especially if you are not sure what to do at this point, don't bother.

If it is an iPhone, and has ben backed up regularly, they are pretty easy to get yourself. PM me if you need help.

Or just google it.
