So I can go out and do grown up things at night. I think I have 2 that I like and I am meeting.

The next step is actually leaving DD with someone who is not related to me. I can do this.

And then, once I am out of the house, at night, single-y, with out worrying about DD... what do I do?

Your DD will do well - having someone else's energy will be good. I know when we found good sitters, it was a revelation because they have different ideas on playing and whatnot.

And you can do anything you want! Read at the coffee shop. Have tea with a friend. Watch a movie. Window shop.

US is right... it'll be good for both of you!

Time to yourself will be weird at first... but you'll get to where you really look forward to it and enjoy it.

You do anything you please!! Shop, walk around the mall if that's your thing, go to a coffee shop and just sit and relax, go to a bookstore and browse, go to a movie....anything! your time will be your own. :)

If you are nervous about leaving DD alone with someone, have the babysitter come over while you are there (pay for their time, of course) and be a "mother's helper" for a few hours.

Now... what to do?

Yoga class
Self defense class
Home improvement classes at Home Depot
Crafting classes at Michael's or other craft stores
Join a book club
Check out Meet up groups
See a movie
Go to the library
Try new restaurants
Browse the mall
Karaoke night
If there is a university near you check their schedule for interesting speakers
Check out your local Chamber of Commerce website (and those in towns around you) for events
Get your friends together for paint night
Where I live there is a lot of snow. There is night skiing at a slope an hour from my house.

Adding more!

Those are some great ideas. I would love to sit in the bookstore and relax. And I love karaoke.

I like the mother's helper suggestion.

I am very excited to do things on my own.
