I always like to get my kids a little something for Valentine's Day. My mom did few special things for us as kids, but this was one of them. Even if it was just a little stuffed animal or a special kind of candy, it made me feel loved. I wanted to carry on the tradition with my kids.
I'm curious if others get their older kids V-Day gifts. Sometimes I'll get them something cute, corny, funny. This year I got them each an I-tunes gift card.
DS, you are forever in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit with me. I will always try to live by the example you have set. I love you and miss you every day and am sorry you had to go so soon, it just doesn't seem fair.

We like to celebrate things in our own way here. Especially all the "Hallmark Holidays". I have 3 kids: DS17, DD14, DD9. We always go out and by discounted chocolates after the fact. But for the day itself, we:
-Make heart shaped pizzas for dinner.
-Hide color-coded "love" notes around the house to find.
-Make small gifts for each other. (regifting is okay too)
This year I have made them all ID bracelets...in Elvish...

That's cute. I always make my famous heart-shaped meatloaf. Neither kids will be home this year, but H knows to expect it. I'm always so proud of it!

Mine are not adults, but older teens. I get up early and make heart shaped pancakes and get them each a little something. I don't see that ever changing. Same thing with Easter baskets.

Sent AJ and his GF a card and gift card to Bed, Bath and Beyond.
Normally he would have gotten a card, some candy and a gift card to eat somewhere, but he's growing up, dammit!
Time to share the love!

We seriously need a pic of the heart shaped meatloaf.
Mine's an early teen. She doesn't like candy that much. So she is getting a top and matching scarf she wanted. I ordered it right after xmas, so it was a great deal.
