Has anyone seen this movie? I watched it last night with my H who is a SA. Besides all the corny slogans they throw around, and how annoyingly beautiful Gwenith Paltrow is, it was really good.
My H is part of a 12step recovery group for his SA and he said the recovery parts of the movie were a little cliche but the parts were the characters acted out or struggled with triggers and such was right on.
Definitely worth a watch. I'm 3 years out from DD so I didn't find it too triggering but there were a few spots where I felt a tiny bit uncomfortable.
Has anyone else seen it? What did you think?

We saw it and thought it was well done. It used the lingo and gave nods to little things like Patrick Carnes Gentle Guide to the 12 Steps was in the one characters hands at one point.
Kudos to the filmmakers for treating the subject with respect and not the usual Hollywood belittling and comedic way. I didn't like Paltrow's character but I liked the scene when Tim Robbin's wife's character was explaining things to her like CoD and her own baggage. I thought that was interesting.
I wasn't triggered by it. But I rarely am triggered by movies. It would be very triggering for some.

Dixie, The part where his wife explains that she kept the focus on her…. really great! Classic Al-anon, I loved it!
True it could be very triggering for some. I would say watch with the remote in hand, just in case..
