Do Not use your craft heat tool to dry your keyboard!

A little green tea splashed on my brand new MacBook Pro and I was worried it would ruin it. I don't have a hair dryer so I panicked and dried it with my craft heat embossing tool. It looks kind of like a blow drier but it's hotter. And designed to melt plastic so that you get these cool shiney effects on your cards and craft projects.

4 keys on my board are so wizened I had to pull them off.

Bad move! If only I could move the clock back on that one!

Oh my!

I still have an embossing tool from my cardmaking/rubber stamping days- they get HOT!

Well...on the plus side, basic keyboards aren't very expensive anymore.

They make a washable keyboard now, but it is a special kind.

I'm sorry IL, but I was like when I read this. I too have an embossing tool, it will start paper on fire! Not that I know, cough, cough ((MacBook))

There is hope that I can restore this beautiful brand new very expensive piece of equipment to its former glory.

Note to self don't be such an idiot next time.
