I don't know. Background, staying in what they call a 5 star resort. Food almost inedible as they freeze, microwave, re freeze, microwave to defrost and brown in a pan. I know this because I am nosey, used to be a duty manager also. Stood in the kitchen and observed.
Tonight I cooked beef steak, potato rosti and fresh mushroom sauce. Chef and head waiter were amazed. I ended up feeding 5 of the staff and myself off one nice piece of steak. I guess if nothing else improves they now know what fresh steak, mushroom sauce and potato should taste like.
I stressed that I am no chef, imagine how much better if you knew what you were doing. Don't know if its a good thing or not to put ideas of better into other minds. They don't control their manager.
Feel a little hypocritical when they, rightly so, are focused on survival. Me: Awesome - 35.... ummm, not anymore
