Some of y'all may remember I posted back in late November/early December about a little girl named Madelynn who was diagnosed with a neuroblastoma in her kidney.
She has gone through four rounds of chemo and had surgery today. The scans last week showed the tumor was less than a third of its original size. Today, the surgeon was able to remove about 95% of the remainder, and what he removed appeared to be dead tissue. Just waiting for a final path report.
She'll have two more rounds of chemo and a stem cell transplant. I don't know if I mentioned this before but her parents had banked her cord blood at birth. Not cheap, but definitely worth every penny now.
