So I'm on antidepressants because of STBXH and XBFF fucking around. I'm on a pretty high dose. I thought I had a 30 day supply, but no it was only a 15 day supply. Friday was my last does.

On Thursday, I called the pharmacy for a refill. I knew they'd need Dr's okay, so I gave them a day or two to get that done. When to pick up my Rx on Saturday morning and they said "the doctor denied the refill because she's no longer treating you." They called the wrong fucking doctor. So I gave them the correct Dr's info, but there's no way to get a reply until Monday. Monday morning I call the Dr's office to make sure everything's okay, but they weren't open yet and the answering service won't take prescription info. I've got a busy day, so I trust that they'll do their job. This evening I go to the pharmacy to get my meds and they say "the doctor denied the refill because you have an appointment on Thursday."

So I'm going through withdrawal, headaches, dizzy, emotional. I tell my mom she needs to get my dad's rifle out of the house 'cause otherwise I'm gonna kill the STBXH. She doesn't want to put it in the storage locker 'cause she's not sure if that's legal. So I just took the two boxes of bullets and threw them as far out into the yard/street as I could.

Now I just have to make it 'til morning, then I'm gonna tell my Doc to either get me my meds or re-admit me to the hospital.

p.s. woke my mom up slamming the doors, so she's gonna stay up with me and make sure I'm safe.

How about if you have your mom take you to the ER right now?

Nature_Girl posted 2/25/2014 00:52 AM

I agree, maybe it would be better if you went to the ER or all-night clinic and let the professionals help you.

dmari posted 2/25/2014 00:53 AM

Please admit yourself to the ER immediately. Withdrawal is nothing to fool around with. Sounds like you are crashing. Please get help now. I will be thinking of you and checking back. Please.

This is scary. They should have given you an emergency dose.

Maybe you should go to an emergency room.

Please let us know how you are.

Cried and talked with my mom for quite a while. She's pissed at the doctor on my behalf. Now that I've had my crying jag, I'm exhausted so heading to sleep. My mom and I are gonna head to the doc's office first thing in the morning and either get my meds or a stay at the hospital. So glad I moved in with my folks. Its really nice to have someone to rely on.

Yes an emergency visit might be in order. See if you can see your doctor sooner. When you do see him have him give you a longer duration prescription with a refill.

Get a trigger lock for the gun. Lock it, give the key to someone. Dont leave the cartridges out on the lawn, a child could hurt themselves. Get a trigger lock, they are under 10 bucks.

Breath. Don't forget to breath.

Thank you thank you for the update! I hope you are able to sleep. Thank you for your honesty. Thank you for reaching out to mom! Hugs to both of you!! I will pray that you will be able to get some sleep. First thing in the morning, just focus on getting to see the doctor (your personal doctor or urgent care or ER). If you wake up and don't feel right, just go to the ER. Wishing you a restful night.

That's just BS. I'm an ER doc and I see this kind of crap all the time. I don't know why primary doctors think it's ok to not refill meds that people withdraw from. Hope you are feeling better and will give that doc a piece of your mind!

Just wanted to check in on you today. (((((Gemini71)))) (((((Gemini71))))) (((((Gemini71)))))

Thank you all for the support when I really really needed it!

Called my Dr. today and she got me in right away. My mom came too because she wanted to make sure I shared with Dr. about my night (and wanted to give a piece of her mind too.) I'm back on my meds and feeling sooo much better, even though it has only been 12 hours.

Also had a previously scheduled appointment with my therapist today. She told me "next time go to the ER and they will give you meds." Just like all of you folks said. Though there will not be a next time because I won't wait until the last minute for a refill anymore.

I'm mainly just mad at myself, and so very grateful that I am blessed with such loving and supporting parents. Also glad that I have you folks here.

You *did good* by reaching out when you were in a very low spot, Gem, and I'm glad to see that you are doing better today and have gotten the issue handled. .....oh, and make sure to give your mom a hug.

dmari posted 2/26/2014 01:05 AM

Oh this post makes me so happy!! Thank you Gemini71 for keeping us updated!! I hope you can take a couple of days to really recover from the withdrawals and I am so glad that there is a PLAN should this happen again. Although like you said, it won't.

Give mommy a BIG hug! I remember when shit went down with me, I was a mess and my mommy had to take care of me.
