I am simply curious as to anyone who has done these, their experience, conversations leading up to and the results... very seriously considering this being my last resort.

I just posted above about our experience.

My H said he would do anything. I set it up and said I wanted him to take it. He said okay but was apprehensive. He hated every minute of it, said he felt like a criminal, but knew it needed to happen.

I told him that we would go through it no matter what (to forestall incomplete "parking lot confessions") and also that I would believe the results (ditto the "test is wrong" excuse).

The polygrapher explained that it is not pass/fail but shades of grey that he interprets with help from preliminary tests he does on the subject. He considers it over 90% accurate if done correctly.

Afterwards we went to a fancy jewelry store and he bought me the diamond bracelet of my choice, which I now wear every day!

Mine agreed to one while still hiding MAJOR stuff. He passed. He shouldn't have, not by a long shot. Maybe we had a bad examiner or maybe SAWH is just that good of a liar? Who knows.

I'm afraid my WH is also a good enough liar to pass, he is a champion pathological liar and a bit of a sociopath in my opinion, so I'm afraid he'll be able to convince HIMSELF that he's not lying even if he does fail, he will have some bogus excuse as to why, like he wasn't lying he was just angry about the questions asked, etc.

What types of questions did you guys ask? Were there any last ditch efforts to convince you before the test or oppositions? How did you bring it up?

I feel like my only successful course of action is to bide my time until I have the money and the appointment set up and tell him just before the test that that's where we're going, and that I NEED it done for my own sanity and we can finally put it behind us when the test says he's telling the truth, etc...

Also posted on the other poly question.

It was my last resort as "truth" kept coming out. As I continued my insistence on having the test more "truth" squeezed out. Finally I was left with no option.

It provided a place of honesty for me that I could trust. Nothing is 100% but I will take what I got and start from there.
