We finally got out of battered women shelter into our Aprtment yesterday yay! We are getting there. :)
Question we have direct path as our internet with only 1.0 Mbs download and is very slow but it is all they offer. Any suggestions for any air card or wireless internet that might be faster. Ugh.
Our tv man comes to install tv tomorrow but we only have a tiny 22 inch tv for living room so I like to stream from my laptop in bedroom but at this Rate. Lord how mercy........no way can I do thAt.
But we are in a secure apartment with alarm and out of shelter and final on our way to normalcy. Yay! ) I hope!

Congrats on the new home front. At least the weather is getting nice now, and the time in front of the TV computer will naturally decrease.
We live in the boonies, and until High Speed was available we had a sprint card. It worked fairly well. Although it still was not as fast as the High Speed. But as I recall it was not cheap either.

Congratulations! Wishing you a safe, happy future
Not much help on internet issues, though - don't own a tv (and love it lol) and am in UK, so no good for you!
Peace and light to you and your family.

I'm glad that you're getting your own SECURE place! May I suggest that you go to Best Buy and talk to one of their sales people? I love Best Buy. Their employees are not on commission, so they don't have the SELL THEM SOMETHING pressure on them, they are usually very tech-savvy, and willing to work with the customer.

Congrats on the move! So glad to hear you are in an apt. now.
On the air-card or other, I'd avoid these as they are usually very expensive if you go over the caps and most have too low caps if you plan to stream video.
i.e. a 4G card might be $90/month, but if you go over 2GB of bandwidth, it gets pricey for every MB you go over... and you'll eat through 2GB rather quickly if you plan to stream video/audio.
DirecPath is slow but cheap. Your only option may be to see if you are near enough to the roof or have any windows in near path to hang a dish... that is if your complex allows this. You can generally get around 10mbps with dish internet and they have good TV bundles too.
