I was watching with DH last night and it was like someone watching the Red Wedding from GoT. I mean, we KNOW whats going to happen because they have kept these 2 little girls pretty darn close to the twin boys in the comic, but when it FINALLY happened, DH was like....

OMG...OMG.....no way...OMG....nooooooo...OMG

1. I am really glad that they didnt show Izzie killing Mika. I think that would have pushed it over to the 'wtf' catagory.

2. I was totally caught off guard by the POOF there it is.....there was no lead up. There was no indication that Izzie's "I know what I have to do now" really meant, and there was no 'trial' of her going after her sister....it was just...boom, done.

3. I am actually glad that it was an adult that killed Mika and not Carl (like in the comics).

4. I still don't think that Carol killed the people in the prison, but I do believe that she helped Izzie dispose of the bodies. I believe now more then ever, that Izzie did to the people at the prison what she did to her sister. She wanted to watch them wake up - and they were sick and to weak to fight her off. I think Carol finished them off, so they wouldn't turn, and dragged them away. I also think that Carol hopped that Tyrone would shoot her - but I like what he did better.

But seriously - what a crazy episode....man - crazy.

I was avoiding this thread like the plague since I couldn't watch the episode until last night.

Wow, that was intense, wasn't it? I love how slow the build was for this story. How long have we been wondering when the zombie feeding story would resolve itself? It's been a while! And the pay off was gut wrenching.

I am really sad to see Mika go. She was such an interesting child character. She was strong in her view of life and didn't hesitate to stand up for herself against Carol.

Carol admitted to killing David and Karen at the prison. If Lizzie had done it, Carol would have had no reason to confess to Tyrese after Lizzie was dead, and risk him shooting her. Plus why would Carol leave Lizzie at the prison without telling anyone if she had killed Karen and David? And why would Carol have accepted being banished if she didn't do it? That doesn't make sense.

An adult didn't kill Mika, Lizzie did.

And adult (Carol) killed Lizzie.

Carol would have had no reason to confess to Tyrese after Lizzie was dead, and risk him shooting her.

I think in that very moment, when she slid the gun to Tyrese, she wanted to die. She had just killed a child - a child that she fought like hell to protect because what is the point of living if there are no people after you to carry on.

I think this was her very most lowest point...rock bottom - and she had given up.

On the other hand - her will to live is permanant and therefore - her use of the confession to push Tyrese over the edge.

Also, i think that her guilt with helping to dispose the bodies was there.

Plus why would Carol leave Lizzie at the prison without telling anyone if she had killed Karen and David?

The same reason why she accepted the banishment. To protect the children. Even though Lizze did this horrible thing - she was still a child and Carol couldn't accept that Lizzie was 50 cards short of a full deck.

And why would Carol have accepted being banished if she didn't do it?

Denial is not just a big river in egypt and I really dont think that Carol wanted to believe that Lizze actually enjoyed or like killing people and wanting ot be with walkers.

If Carol said "but i didnt do it" then it would put Rick into the position of "so you are telling me a child killed them, you are supposed to expect me to believe that??"

or

Rick would have believed it and it would have then put Lizzie's life on the line.

It was a lose lose here
