I would highly recommend "Codependent No More" by Melody Beattie. I have personally read it and learned a lot from it.

It's kind of the gold standard. It's a tad religion-y for my tastes, but even if that's not your thing it's fairly easy to parse out the relevant information.

Other people are not medicine.
