Ben Pastor (not to be confused with Pastor Ben) is writes in in Italian and English, and she's got 2 historical mystery series going with 4 (almost 5) books in English. I sure wish I could read Italian.

Oooh thanks for the recommendation. I've been trying to brush up on my Italian and am currently trying to get through the Italian version of the first Harry Potter book. Will definitely check this author out when I'm finished.

I find reading in a second language to be really mentally taxing, in a good way.
