Yes, the Ice Cube song has been playing in my head all day too.

I don't know why, but I just woke up feeling good, and I decided I wouldn't second guess it. It was a good day at work. I got my new corporate card earlier this week, so I got to take a couple of my top performers out to a really good extended lunch. Got all my work done early and, for once on a Friday, there were no last second "hey, that thing I didn't mention all week is super important and needs to be done today" calls or emails.

I get to see a good friend this evening. Him and his wife have a 6 month old daughter that I haven't had enough time to spoil properly, and apparently "she misses her uncle SoulHurts." Got a few toys for her of course. The louder, the better.

My friend seems a little too excited for me to drop by. I hope this isn't a "set up," but even if it is, so be it. I don't think the STBXWW herself can ruin my mood today. I know tomorrow could be a whole 'nother story, so yeah, I'm just gonna ride this high out. For everyone on a low today, I promise it will get better.

Today I didn't even have to use my A.K.

I got to say it was a good day

I'm happy for you soulhurts! Congrats! My brother and his wife just had a baby 5 months ago, and there's literally nothing better than spoiling the crap out of her! It's great therapy just to get to spend time with her! I hope your good days continue!!!

No barking from the dogs?

no smog

And momma cooked a breakfast with no hog

Thanks everyone. I promise there are good days, and you should enjoy the hell out of them.

Seeing my friends and their daughter was pretty awesome. That little girl adores me, and I her! The only low point of the evening was his wife almost breaking down. This woman was my STBXWW's maid of honor, and she hers. They were very, very close. My STBXWW has cut her out of her life too. The damage my STBXWW left in her wake effects far more than me.

Anyway, I gotta say, all-in-all, today was a good day!
