I've been recommended to try and find a course about mindfulness from 3 separate people as part of my healing process. It really seems to be the buzz topic as the more I look into it the more I'm hearing about it! Articles in the paper, interviews with the professor from oxford university who originally coined the phrase, internet articles etc etc. has anyone done it? Can anyone recommend it? Or give info as to how it's helped them (or not?)

What do these people think that you need to be more *mindful* of?

I did a bit of research on mindfulness about 4ish years ago (so it's a bit blurry), but it is just a way of saying "don't let your emotions run the show", "think before you act/accuse/assume", iirc.
