I've been hearing a lot of songs lately that are pulling at me thru the A process.
There's a few that hold me up, then there's those few that should represent a M, but I know they don't represent my M, more specifically wh's feelings or mine. Here's my list at the moment:
Helping me/holding me up:
Let it go, from the movie Frozen
And Titanium
These two songs remind me I'm stronger then this, and I can get thru and be me and that's ok,better then ok
Then there's the songs that make me sad, by showing me what I'm missing/wanting in my M
All of me by John Legend, my wh won't give me back his heart/love. There for he won't give me all of himself, and I can't give him all of me ever again. I did that once and look where I am today.
And "say something" not sure the artist, but that song reminds me that I don't have a wh that's willing to fight for me and is just willing to let me walk away.
And then there's the song "I won't give up" well what can I say,he gave up a long time ago and never tried to come back, and I know he never will fight like this song.
There are a few I remember at this moment (it's 4am here). I know there's more that I can't remember the names of.

I heard "All of Me" by John Legend the other day at work and it made me start crying.
"Say something" by A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera and
"I won't give up" by Jason Mraz both touch my heart strings. Sometimes I send songs to my WH when I don't know what else to say. They can sum up my feelings so beautifully.

I've got a collection :) One playlist for feeling happy/hopefull and one playlist for feeling not happy... since I'm still very much on a roller coaster.
Scangel3 & Soloney: I have "Say Something" & "I Won't Give Up" included too!
"Staying Alive" - Cursive
I've decided tonight
I'm staying alive
Just kicking and screaming
The worst is over
"Both Sides Now" - Joni Mitchell
"Stubborn Love" - Lumineers
"Melt My Heart to Stone" - Adele
And I hear your words that I made up
You say my name like there could be an us
I best tidy up my head I'm the only one in love
WH chose some songs for a romantic playlist once when I asked him to...
One of this choices brought me to tears, its an incredible song, especially coming from him:
"You Still Believe in Me" - Beach Boys
I know perfectly well
I'm not where I should be
I've been very aware
You've been patient with me
Every time we break up
You bring back your love to me
And after all I've done to you
How can it be
You still believe in me

Yep yep to Katy Perry. Adele, Pink, Kelley Clarkson, and Carrie Underwood are my go-to girls too.
I always wished my ex would be remorseful, and Daughtry has a lot of "remorseful" and "take me back" type songs. I asked ex to listen to some of them, but he just told me he hates Daughtry and refused.. When we separated, I found "What I Meant To Say," and that's my favorite song by Daughtry now..

After a few months we took a spur of the moment trip to Florida. I think we both just thought we could put the world on hold for a bit.
We were heading towards Animal Kingdom at Disney and Remember When by Alan Jackson comes on the radio.
We are pulling into the park amongst a million other happy people and we both have red swollen eyes and snot running all over the place.
I still cannot listen to that song without breaking down.

This thread is very timely for me. I heard two more on the radio today that I haven't thought about in a long time.
"Doin' Time" -Sublime
"Rain King" - Counting Crows (This song gave me goose bumps today.)
Don't try and bleed me
I've been there before
And I deserve a little more
I belong in the service of a queen
I belong anywhere but in between
She's been lying and I've been sinking
I am the rain king.

Any time.
I've always said the biggest hindrance to the Counting Crows was that they released the perfect fist album. No band can do that every time. When it's your first album everything that comes after people say "It's good but not as good as that first one." Then they start talking about how you lost your touch. If August and Everything After was their third album they'd be talked about along side all the greats in the history of rock and roll.

Lady Gaga has helped me so much during this past DD. The song Dope is amazing and hits a cord with me because my husband is SA...
Cork's off, it's on
The party's just begun
I promise
This drink is my last one
I know I fucked up again
Because I lost my only friend
God forgive my sins
Don't leave me, I
Oh I will hate myself until I die
My heart would break without you
Might not awake without you
Been hurting low, from living high for so long
I'm sorry, and I love you
Sing with me, "Bell Bottom Blue"
I'll keep on searching for an answer cause I need you more than dope
I need you more than dope
Need you more than dope
Need you more than dope
I need you more than dope
Toast one last puff
And two last regrets
Three spirits and
Twelve lonely steps
Up heaven's stairway to gold
Mine myself like coal
A mountain of a soul
Each day, I cry
Oh, I feel so low from living high
My heart would break without you
Might not awake without you
Been hurting low, from living high for so long
I'm sorry, and I love you
Sing with me, "Bell Bottom Blue"
I'll keep searching for an answer cause I need you more than dope
