We where supposed to visit my wife's family this weekend, but her brother came down sick and we had to postpone.

She had to work until 1PM on Saturday but we had the rest of the day and all day Sunday off together. We didn't know much in the way of being productive. A little cleaning and a smidgen of yard work but it was a really good weekend.

My wife didn't spend the whole time plugged into a tablet or her phone and we spent most of the time together. It was a really nice time, like things used to be. We did have a small conversation about the affair but it wasn't me needing to talk about but instead my wife talking about the guild she still carries around from it.

I'm sure there are more bad days to come and it's only one weekend, but I feel really good about things right now. After my little freak out on Thursday I really needed that.

I'm sorry that Thursday was rough, but yay for a good weekend! It's great that you are able to enjoy and appreciate those moments as they occur. Practicing mindfulness in my own life is something I'm working on, and when I'm able to stay in the present, I notice my anxiety subsides.

We had a really good weekend here, too. A nice start for the week ahead.

That's great, Wodnships! I remember how sporadic the good moments/days were in the beginning. When I started becoming more mindful or conscience of them I took a moment to embrace them so-to-speak bc I knew there were be more hard days ahead. So, its smart of you to write it down - makes it more real somehow and kind of stamps it onto your heart.

Here's to many more.

I also made a point to text my wife and tell her how good I was feeling about the weekend. I learned a long time ago.

I learned a long time ago that the best way to find happiness is to spotlight the happy times.
