I normally never get them. Ever. But late last summer when we purchased our car (Wheeled and dealed all by myself! Still proud of that step!) I decided to purchase the extended warranty. And I'm so.glad.I.did.

The A/C in the car was acting/smelling funky. We've had the compressor go out on a previous vehicle. You just can't forget that smell, or the sounds. Anyway, same thing with this car. Same smells and sounds. Eww. Took it to the shop today, the whole A/C clutch and assembly is fried. I saw the paperwork. Oy. Expensiiiiiive!

Thanks to the warranty, it covered just about everything. We're just out the deductible and two small things not covered. And I get a rental. Which is flipping awesome because that means I don't have to rely on anyone (aka-family) to help me out.

Yay.

Good for you!
Your extended warranty paid off!

I also rarely get an extended warranty but the times I did buy one I've needed it. Glad you got it this time.

The last 2 vehicles we have purchased, were from CarMax, and we got the extended Warranty on both, and it saved us a bunch of cash.

The Astro van actually got two new transmissions on it. 3 power window motors, and 1 U joint.

The Tahoe got a window motor, AC, and something else, can't remember what, but anyhow well worth it.

I would definitely purchase another vehicle from them, and get eh extended warranty.

The AC went out in the Tahoe again this past summer, luckily my wonderful H is handy, and there are U tube videos for everything. He ordered the parts on line, and fixed it, then took it to the shop to get charged up something that would have been something we couldn't afford only cost us $195.00.

Yep. Normally what we do. I research the crap out of it, act like I know what I'm doing, show QS (cause he's a visual learner) he does it, and ta-da. This go around, low/no stress. Its covered. He doesn't have to take of work or spend a fortune on parts.

It's always nice when you can just go to the shop, say fix it and not worry about the money.
