Disappointed to grow up and discover adults don't act like "adults." I love this line from She's Having a Baby "people don't mature anymore; they just stay assholes all their lives."

I feel like a junior high principal.

It depends on the actions you're speaking of...I, for one, hope to never grow up

It is commonly said among teachers (at least in my area) that teachers act exactly like the age group they teach. I found that to be particularly true in elementary school. As a music teacher, I taught students of all ages, but I'm sure someone has a way to describe how un-adultlike the music department acted too. Thankfully, except for full staff meetings, I was mostly able to stick to my little corner of the building and avoid most of the drama.

SOOOOOOO feel like that. Abandoned FB because I'm tired of feeling like I'm in middle school! Then I get it IRL.

I was talking with a fellow volunteer about bullying DS (13yo) is dealing with and she said thankfully we're not in middle school forever.

My reply was that we may not be, but I know some people who act like it.

I've posted about one in particular. She's older than me- so mid-40's. Still acting like a Queen Bee Wanna Be. Still playing games and gossiping behind people's backs. Still eavesdropping to get more fodder for gossip. Smiling at your face with her big toothy grin while stabbing you in the back.

I remember going off to University and being so excited to be an adult!! I distinctly recall sitting around the seminar table listening to my fellow students speak and thinking "Oh my god.. these aren't adults. These are the same assholes from high school " . It was a real watershed moment. People CAN mature, and I know more wonderful people than not, but yep PJ, some don't seem the least bit interested in maturing .

Ugh, yes!

I am so tired of driving and seeing cars weaving about, only to find out they were literally texting while they were driving! I just don't get this. I never see teens doing this anymore. It is mostly adults, in their thirties to sixties, doing this! It is reckless and scary, not to mention immature!
