I just attended a free Law School Class at our local College.

Wills and Probate was the specific class tonight. Next week is Family Law.

Our instructor is an attorney in the county I live in.

He stayed after class for over an hour just to talk to me and advise me of my rights and talk to me about my unique law needs.

He was impressed by my move toward making a healthy life for myself and my autistic son.

I told him a small amount of my struggle with my husbands infidelity, his drinking and his slim involvement with our son and I.

My husband has a great job and we have never had trouble paying bills.

I told him I have my own skill set I am working on to be a better person, but that I simply could not stay given his lack or effort and compartmentalizing of his affair. and He was so refreshed to see such determination to reconcile and fight like hell for my marriage.

He said my road ahead is a hard one, and I know that.

I also advocated for myself and networked with him, as I am looking for a part time job.

He is going to help me network for a job, as he knows Everyone in my county and was president of the local Chamber of Commerce, and can help me to find a part time job utilizing my BA in Technical Writing.

I am in the job market, as my employer whom I had worked for for 10 years had a very unexpected retirement to take care of his wife who is ill.

So I have been in the career search for about 3 weeks.

The #1 way to get a job is networking, so I am networking like a ninja!

All his law consulting was free, which saved me at least $180.00! He stayed until after 10 pm to discuss my situation and simply be a confidant for me.

His feedback was affirming and he has several characteristics of a person I would love to have in a father/grandfather.

He is a caring man who is going to help me be more successful.

I had no doubt that men are beautiful, amazing people with the capability to help others. I am not that jaded against men, thank God.

I wish all the people going through a separation/divorce had an encounter like mine tonight.

God Bless you all and have a peaceful evening.

It helps that you are being pro-active and educating yourself. You are definitely getting your ducks in a row.

It's so nice to know that not everyone is a cheating, lying, SOB. Just makes a STBX's fuckery stand out more.
