I am going tomorrow to start the process of renting an apartment.
I currently rent my uncles condo.
My husband got the house in the divorce, I am still on the title until he either sells or refinances. He has until January 2015 to do either.
I was wondering if anyone had any idea if when they run my credit history if that will come up. I worry that if it does, they won't approve me for the apartment.
I am going to bring my divorce decree with me where it states he is responsible for the house payment.
Has anyone else rented an apartment and still had their name on their old house.
Thank you for any info.

When I rented my apartment, I was still legally married and still owned the marital house. It didn't matter. Try not to borrow trouble :)

They are mainly looking for evictions. If you haven't been evicted, then you should be all set. May have to pay higher for security but they will still rent.

The credit check for the place I'm at now noted a foreclosure in my past but that didn't stop them for renting to me.
