So I REALLY need to mow the backyard. The winter rye grass is like six to eight inches tall and may start choking out the Bermuda that's trying to grow.

Yesterday it was 85 with a heat index of 90. It was TOO hot.

Today it is 45 with a wind chill of 31. It is TOO cold.

I am the Goldilocks of lawn care!

I'm going to take a nap instead! I'm sure it will eventually be between 60-75 degrees!

I completely approve of your procrastination. It's the only logical response to such uncooperative weather. Have a nice nap.

My darling husband procrastinates so much (with regard to lawncare), that I gave up and hired someone.

This works a lot better for my nerves, but unfortunately for him, this allowed me to add a few other things to his "Honey Do" list.

I say don't do it unless it's exactly 72 degrees - no wind. Mowing in anything else is asking for trouble.

Don’t listen to your head, it’s easily confused. Don’t listen to your heart, its fickle. Listen to your soul, God doesn't steer you wrong.

Thank goodness hubby never saw THAT particular sign when I was after him to mow the lawn.
