What's up with that?

I'm 4-1/2 inches shorter than my boyfriend, but I've never really noticed it. I was never bothered by the fact that he doesn't tower above me or I don't have to stretch to kiss him. Last night we were standing on the porch, both barefoot and I rested my head on his shoulder. He felt so short, or maybe I felt tall? This made me feel a little weird! What's up with that? We weren't having a deep conversation, both of us were in a good mood and I'm pretty sure he wasn't slouching. This feeling was just out of nowhere!

Hi,LITW

Maybe you finally subconsciously brought him "down to real life" after having him on a pedestal? (As most of us do when we're in the however long honeymoon phase)

And now notice that he really is just human?

Just a thought.

There are things I never noticed about ws until after DD. Things that kinda annoy me. I guess we just take a good look at the whole package when we wonder who the hell they are now. There's a word my ws mispronounces every time he says it, I guess I never noticed but now I hear it and I'm like, omg don't say it, oops there yiu go, you sound like a dumbass now.

Okay, that was funny. Sort of like how they've been passing gas almost since you met, and now it's not so cute. I used to think "What's up with that?" too!

Lol
I think they just stripped all the fantasy away.
I always saw my H as a big, sexy beast.
After the A...I still thought he was cute but he was no enthralling anything. Just a guy who's getting older, who's tall but not as tall as I remember. Who's broad but no longer so broad it sends shivers down my spine. Crows feet, dandruff, eye boogers...
Maybe seeing someone as shorter isn't so bad...

Sometimes, I can still see what I used to see...and then I force myself to stop because seeing that beautiful fantasy blinded me until I became a horrible joke.

Apparently adultery makes you annoying and gives you wrinkles.
