We got tired of the available takeout in our area because we always seem to be disappointed, so I made:

Meatless Pad Thai
Thai Cucumber Salad
Chicken Satay w/ Peanut Sauce

DD said the satay is on her "Best Things I've Ever Eaten" list now.

What's the food buzz in your house tonight?

so far I've had Oreos because we got a variety box of those 6-count Nabisco cookies free with our office supply order at work today, and I snagged an extra pack to take home with me.

I was supposed to cook the pork chops in the fridge...

McDonalds...

What the hell... we've been good all week.

I didn't feel like cooking last night, so we had McCrap. It was so freakin' salty!

I cooked dinner for my son and his friend this evening. Frozen pizza from Costco!

Honestly, I can and normally do better than that. I was done for the week, though.

Homemade pizza. Friday night ritual 😁

I forgot to make something earlier, so I just had some pizza rolls. DS7 had left over chicken with fruit. DS6 had mac and cheese.

Leftovers--kale, mashed potatoes and rotisserie chicken from the store.

Also ate some of the totally fallen apart cake I made. Think the oven runs a little cool here or something! It will still be edible but leaving half of it in the pan is uh not ideal...

I'm attending a two-day training for work on the New Hampshire seacoast. Tonight we had a catered Greek meal: Shrimp & orzo salad, oregano chicken, a pasta dish, grilled vegies and a Greek salad. Red velvet cupcakes for dessert.

Tomorrow will be lunch from a local seafood place--lobsta rolls

Marinated tomatoes and a loaf of fresh baked rye bread

H and DD have gone to pick-your-own strawberry farm. When they return, they'll make waffles, spread them with Nutella and strawberries, top them with whipped cream, then NOMNOMNOM them!

Tonight is homemade pizzas. I will make the dough in the bread maker this afternoon. Mine will be chicken and bacon and tomatoes. Not sure on the others

We decided to do a Lowcountry Boil tonight (outside, so the house won't get too stinky!) and have Strawberry Shortcake for dessert.

EvolvingSoul posted 5/3/2014 16:52 PM

Well, today is leftovers of yesterday's dinner, which was Pineapple Beef.

Beef tritip thinly sliced and marinated with pineapple chunks in teriyaki sauce, all stir fried with whatever vegetables I have around. This time it was carrots, scallions, mushrooms and red cabbage. Served over jasmine rice.

Nummers.

Black bean burgers with homemade potato salad (a lame attempt at recreating my Mom's legendary recipe).

It was goooooooood!!! I like to use the Zatarain's Crab boil and I let it boil for a couple of hours to get the water nice and flavorful before we add anything.

You should cook them, so they don't go bad. You can cook them in the oven with a nice rub, bbq sauce, or something like that.
