For all of the mothers in this forum, Happy Mother's Day.

For those who are brand new, still trying to get out of the A, or trying to figure out how to do R, you may not feel like celebrating anything, but you should know that it is worth it and that it will change you when you've done the work to fix yourself. You'll see things differently when it comes to your children.

For those who have been doing the work, who've realized that they've put their families in jeopardy, you can't change the past, but you are becoming that safe person who your kids can look up to.

For those who are way past d-day and the A, just take it in and enjoy the day for what it is.

This day is for the mom's, but it is also for the kids and the family. It is okay to enjoy it.

Happy Mother's Day to all my American friends!

Hope you all have an enjoyable day with your families.

Thank you Bax, it really is amazing the difference in this Mother's day vs the one right after Dday. Today I am just looking forward to seeing my boys, there is no need to beat myself up at all.

Thanks Baxter!

I just stuffed myself with Nutella and bacon French toast made by my wonderful husband.

I truly am fortunate in the fact that HT has always made me feel special on Mother's Day both before and after the fallout of DDay...always. Which has been a pretty tall order given the fact that I messed up Father's Day in a monumental way. Very grown up and loving of this special man of mine.

I can't tell you how appreciative I am to spend this day with my family! Now if I can only get my 13 year old to pretend she is happy about it too!

HL has always been great, it was an internal issue with me after Dday.

Poking my head in for a sec...

Happy Mother's Day ladies!!!

Sorry, t/j

I just stuffed myself with Nutella and bacon French toast made by my wonderful husband.

Crazy combinations of food at breakfast is one of the many reasons why I wished I lived in America!

live on the edge BBT...

Lol! Breakfast over here is so dull. I went to an iHop when I was 16 and it was like breakfast heaven!

Oh, I can definitely understand that! Glad that you are able to enjoy it these days! You have made huge strides!

ETA:
BBT, I love breakfast! Absolutely my favorite meal of the day. Love it even better when we have breakfast for dinner!

It's my day so I'm working out three times. Heading to hot yoga while he puts my new kitchen table together.
Would love to get outside but a storm is coming through..,
Ah spring!

Happy Mother's Day!

Oh definitely not! Marmite on toast is yummy. Marmite with peanut butter on toast is even nicer.

Sorry for turning your mother's day thread into a breakfast discussion Bax!

BaxtersBFF posted 5/11/2014 11:18 AM

no problem...we just got done sampling my sons chicken curry sausage that he bought himself for mother's day...now we're getting ready to head out to the grocery store to do the shopping this week instead of gerrygirl. I have a list (she made it)...but artistic flare may flare up more than usual this week for meals...

yearsofpain25 posted 5/11/2014 11:27 AM

Marmite with peanut butter on toast is even nicer.

I'll have to give that a try next time I'm over. My co-workers thought I was nuts for trying marmite. I made sure to spread it very very thin...it actually wasn't too bad. I'm a beer guy anyway though so I'm used to that yeasty flavour.

Have fun with that shopping list Bax! I'll be out doing the same shortly!!
