For Mother's Day, I wanted very little - Cold Stone Creamery on Saturday night. So hubby, DD12 and DS9 and I piled into the car and went around 8:30 p.m.

The place was packed. Apparently all the other mothers wanted the same thing, because probably 8 other families were there.

My son was studying the ice cream flavors and turned excitedly to me, loudly exclaiming, "Mom - they have one that's PERFECT for you... Tanqueray!!!"

"Uh, no, buddy. That's TANGERINE," I said, blushing and hiding amid the barely stifled giggles from the grown-ups around me.

I promise, I do NOT have an alcohol issue. But my son clearly has a reading disability!

No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

Very refreshing for summertime, although I think that would be more of a sorbet than an ice cream.

I think you are right, Tush and Faith... it would make a really great sorbet! I've seen wine-flavored sorbets... might be time to embrace my "alcoholism" and create an ice cream/sorbet/gelato store just for adults!

There was a diner in Moscow, Russia that I went to several times during 1995 - 1997. They had grown up milkshakes......yum! Yes, they contained a generous serving of alcohol!
